puts the “Flash” in e-mail and Web sites
The new portal, www.BenchmarkRichMedia.com,
transfers video files into streaming Flash movies for
placement in e-mail, newsletters and Web sites.
LONG BEACH, Calif.--The
Benchmark Internet Group has launched an affordable,
Web-based service that embeds high-quality, streaming
video clips into e-mail, newsletters and Web sites.
Created as a “You Tube for business”, Benchmark
Rich Media features more than 800 streaming Flash clips
of industry-focused categories including travel, technology
and science. Customers can also upload their own clips.

Benchmark Rich Media, we wanted to craft an affordable,
easy to use system that enriches the way businesses

our service, you can easily upload clips from our library

The company chose Flash
format because it’s the most widely used streaming
format. When subscribers upload their own clips, Benchmark
converts QuickTime, AVI and MPEG files into Flash movies
and creates HTML code. Guests can then place the code
in e-mail, on Web pages, or in newsletters. The company
also customizes clips with graphics or ambient sounds,
music or voiceovers.
Subscriber packages start
at $19.95 a month and are based on the size of the clip
and how many times it streams. The service automatically
includes access to Benchmark E-mail, the company’s
elite marketing and delivery service for e-mail and
newsletters.
